These Grade 7 EMS lessons offer a practical, engaging and CAPS- and ATP-aligned approach to teaching economics. Teachers can expect learner-centred activities grounded in real South African contexts, supported by clear diagrams, source-based tasks and appropriate videos. Lessons encourage critical, creative and practical thinking through problem-solving, discussion and reflection. Built-in memos and ready-to-use assessments reduce planning time, while independent and collaborative activities promote meaningful understanding of economic concepts, inequality and responsible citizenship.

- A lesson plan: The lesson plan is downloadable and includes the lesson objectives, a list of the resources used and the equipment needed in the lesson, as well as a detailed explanation of the lesson flow. Assessment opportunities are highlighted.
- Resources: Worksheets, videos, cards and digital resources required for the lesson are included in a downloadable format.
